Disney’s Riviera Resort, projected to open December 2019, celebrates the history and charm that enchanted Walt and Lillian Disney, along with visitors in the Europen Riviera to relax, rejuvenate and play along the Mediterranean.
Imagineers are creating a resort that celebrates the elegance of a modern European retreat including a touch of old-world glamour and even a Disney twist. The resort's stone base and smooth stucco façades will be accented with decorative metalwork and colorful awnings along with French mansard roofs and Italian style arches and loggias found along the coastal region.
The center tower, will be the heart of the resort while the adjacent wings are designed to accommodate more travelers. Each wing of the resort will grow in height, from eight to 10 stories. A variety of decorative railings throughout the resort will feature a subtle Disney twist, including Mickey & Minnie Mouse.
Amazing views of the resort can be seen from the rooftop restaurant, Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. Reservations are now open for Topolino’s Terrace, for dinner beginning on December 16.
The resort, will be on the new Disney Skyliner system and you will be a gondola ride away from Epcot & Hollywood Studios.
