Spaceship Earth, the flagship attraction and iconic symbol of Epcot, was scheduled to be reimagined beginning May 26, 2020, as part of the historic transformation of EPCOT but we just learned today that the refurbishment will be delayed. So Spaceship Earth will be available to travel back in time when Epcot reopens on July 15!
Spaceship Earth was going to have some scenes refurbished including the Egypt scene which would be transformed through the power of light. A new narration will also be included in the refurbishment, replacing Academy Award winner Judi Dench. The new story will demonstrate how light plays a central role in our shared human journey.
