Disney has announced that two attractions and one nighttime spectacular will be permanently closed. According to Disney reporter Scott Gustin on Twitter, Primeval Whirl at Animal Kingdom, Stitch's Great Escape at Magic Kingdom and Rivers of Light at Animal Kingdom are permanently closed.
Primeval Whirl first reported as closed on June 17, 2019 and continued to have problems for the remainder of 2019. Primeval Whirl took a similar path as Stitch's Great Escape! which was still listed as "temporarily closed" in the fall of 2019, despite that it has not been operational since January 6, 2018. It later changed to a character meet and greet but will be closed permanently based on the reports.
Rivers of Light, Disney's Animal Kingdom's nighttime spectacular, was rumored as being permanently closed because the park has had reduced operational hours due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The park closes nightly at 6 PM and therefore, Rivers of Light is not able to go on as planned.
