Walt Disney World Receives Final Approval for Reopening Plan

Walt Disney World Receives Final Approval for Reopening Plan

Walt Disney World's reopening plan has received final approval by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation to start a phased reopening starting with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom July 11 and Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15!

Several days prior to the official reopening to the public there will be cast previews and soft openings for select audiences including Annual Passholders. This will provide a "thoughtful ramp up" to the official opening date.

When Disney World theme parks reopen, they will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that will require all guests to make a reservation in advance for theme park entry. In order to prepare for the launch of the new park reservation system Walt Disney World is temporarily pausing new ticket sales and hotel reservations so they can "focus on guests with existing tickets and reservations." Disney Vacation Club members can still make new reservations. Walt Disney World has also cancelled ALL dining reservations and dining plans, experiences, extra magic hours and FastPass selections.
