Today, Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, revealed the official name of the Star Wars lands that are currently under construction. He also shared details on the immersive experiences guests will be able to enjoy when the lands open in 2019 at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
Both lands will be called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and will allow guests to visit a remote trading port where Star Wars characters and guests will be right in the middle of the action. The land will feature two major attractions, one will make you feel like you are on a Star Destroyer and the second attraction will give you a chance to fly the infamous Millennium Falcon!
