A Modified Epcot International Food & Wine Festival to Take Place Starting on July 15

As Walt Disney World prepares for the reopening of the parks next month, they have released an update on the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. The festival will be modified to promote social distancing but will still continue!

The festival this year is being called “A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival” and will be the longest festival yet starting on July 15 and continuing through the fall! There will be over 20 signature global marketplaces including Hawaii, Hops & Barley and Islands of the Caribbean spaced out around the park.

There will even be some hints of the Flower & Garden Festival sprinkled within the delicious food booths. Guests will be able to see the newest topiary, Remy, in the France pavilion. Remy's Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt will return as well.

Unfortunately the “Eat to the Beat Concert Series,” which often has a very large crowd, will be cancelled this year to comply with physical distancing guidelines.

It's a sigh of relief to see that Disney World is trying to make the best of the unprecedented situation, but we also just got news that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is being cancelled for 2020.

A decision will be made about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays as more information is provided from government and health officials.
