The new entrance fountain at EPCOT has been revealed and celebrates the past, present and future of EPCOT. The construction walls have been removed from the main entrance plaza, giving us the first full look at a major milestone in the park’s historic transformation.
The reimagined fountain actually stands in the original footprint of the first fountain that welcomed guests when the park opened in 1982.
The three acrylic pylons feature the park's logo and stand over 16 feet tall drawing your eye up toward the sky and Spaceship Earth. A light can be found in the fountain’s center that will be able to complement the new lighting coming to Spaceship Earth.
The area features new planters, pathways, landscaping and a vibrant new color palette that will eventually correspond with the four new neighborhoods Disney is creating including World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature and World Showcase.
