Last week, 960 trucks filled with concrete was poured to create the monolithic foundation of what will soon take shape as Epcot’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”-themed attraction. Take a behind-the-scenes look at the construction progress below!
The attraction will become one of the world’s longest enclosed coasters in a new facility which is being built adjacent to the existing Universe of Energy building.
The “Guardians of the Galaxy”-themed attraction is currently set to debut at Epcot just in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, but if you would like to get your fix of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie you can see Star-Lord and Gamora as they take guests on a musical journey at “Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!” at the America Gardens Theatre at Epcot. You can catch “Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!” five times a day from June 9 through August 19.
