Three Ways to Celebrate the New Year at Disney's Contemporary Resort



You can ring in the New Year with three events that will be taking place at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Pixar Party:

You are welcomed by Sarge to Disney's Contemporary Resort and once inside you will find a room filled with props from your favorite Disney Pixar Films including:

  • “Andy’s Room” from the Toy Story series

  • An adventure in Metro City with The Incredibles

  • A fantastic journey inspired by Up

The event features balloon artists, face painting, dance parties, and great character meet and greets! The event also includes a full buffet and a DJ who will spin Radio Disney tunes all night long.  Right as the clock strikes midnight you will be invited outside to take in the magical Disney fireworks.

  • Cost - $175 per Guest—tax and gratuity included.

  • Date & Time -  December 31, 2017 from 8:00 PM to 12:15 AM  

  • Location - Ballroom of the Americas at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.


Disney Countdown to Midnight:

Food, music, and libations are the theme at this event!  Starting at 8 pm on New Year's Eve in the Fantasia Ballroom of Disney's Contemporary Resort, you can indulge in libations while dancing to the tunes from the interactive DJ.  


Delicious culinary tastings are included with wine pairings from the best of the best restaurants on Disney property including California Grill, Flying Fish Cafe, Cítricosand Narcoossee's. At midnight enjoy a champagne toast as you take in the "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks from Magic Kingdom Park.

Down in New Orleans Dining Event:


This event is for all the fine dining aficionados!  The event takes place at the Contemporary Resort and the room is modeled to look like you are in the French Quarter of New Orleans.  Stations will be set up around the room with delectable treats including "from smoked salmon mousse cones and Kobe beef tartar to sheep’s milk ricotta gnocchi and oyster beignets fried on stage, right before your eyes!" This is just the appetizers!


Dinner begins while a jazz band serenades you as the smells of cajun cuisine delights your senses.  Dinner includes: "herb-crusted Louisiana redfish, crayfish étouffée, Black Angus beef cooked two ways, braised short ribs and roast filet of beef with truffled celery root silk."At midnight enjoy a champagne toast as you take in the "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks from Magic Kingdom Park.
