You Can Operate the Millennium Falcon on the New Smugglers Run Ride at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

You Can Operate the Millennium Falcon on the New Smugglers Run Ride at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

You've seen it in the movies and you know you wanted to take control of it and steer it across the galaxy, and now you can actually climb aboard the Millennium Falcon and settle into the cockpit to operate “the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction, opening May 31 at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland park.

The newest Disney attraction, the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run makes you the protagonist of your own Star Wars adventure in a way never seen before! When it’s time for the mission to start, you’ll strap yourself into the Falcon cockpit in groups of six. Each person is assigned one of three critical roles to complete your mission: Pilots, Gunners and Flight Engineers.

Let's tour the attraction with Asa Kalama, Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney Imagineering!

The story behind the Falcon arriving at Galaxy's Edge takes place after the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, where Chewbacca brought the Falcon to Black Spire Outpost for repairs. In exchange for some much-needed replacement parts, Chewie is loaning the Falcon to Hondo Ohnaka, a smuggler turned “legitimate” businessman, who is now making good use of the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. It is at this point you enter the story of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
