Should You Add Disney's Water Parks to your Vacation Package?

Updated: Jul 10, 2019

So you're wondering if you should add the Disney Water Parks to your vacation package, well here are six reasons why you should add it!

  1. Awesome Thrill Rides: Do you like thrill rides? Then get your heart pumping at Blizzard Beach and take the plunge down Summit Plummet. This attraction stands tall at 120 feet high, making it one of the tallest free-fall water attractions in the world. You can reach speeds up to 55 mph as you go downhill. If you are at Typhoon Lagoon, experience the thrill ride, Crush ‘n’ Gusher, which takes guests on an inflatable raft through twists, turns, dips and dives. You can also try the Toboggan Racers and Slush Gusher at Blizzard Beach, plus Miss Adventure Falls and Hummunga Kowabunga at Typhoon Lagoon.

  2. The Blizzard Beach Spring Challenge: If you're thinking about going to Blizzard Beach during Spring Break you can take part in the Blizzard Beach Spring Challenge. The challenge includes obstacle courses, water slide challenges and other interactive games and takes place March 10-11 and March 24-25 and the winners get to take home amazing Blizzard Beach themed giveaways, too!

  3. Unique Lazy Rivers: So you're not into thrill rides, I'm in the same boat or should I say lazy river raft. Castaway Creek and Cross Country Creek are two relaxing lazy rivers that you can enjoy at the water parks. You can float through ice caves at Blizzard Beach or meander through a misty rainforest and hidden grotto at Typhoon Lagoon, either way you will lose yourself in the relaxing getaway.

  4. Private and Relaxing Cabanas: If you would like to reserve a private cabana, Disney Water Parks offers you a chance to enjoy your own private oasis. The Beachcomber Shack Cabanas and Polar Patio Cabanas are premium spaces that provide shade, seating, and private lockers. A service attendant will be there for all your food and beverage orders from an a la carte menu.

  5. Unique meals and snacks: As in every Disney Theme Park, there are a variety of treats that can be found at Disney Water Parks. You can try such items as the slow pulled pork on a burger (with grilled pineapple!), Korean beef or chicken rice bowl, crisp salads and seafood baskets. Don't forget dessert, including the world famous mini donuts.

  6. Learn to Surf at Typhoon Lagoon: Have you always wanted to learn to surf, well did you know you can book a surf lesson at Typhoon Lagoon? Guests can participate in Learn to Surf at Typhoon Lagoon before the water park even opens! Guests will spend a couple of hours with professional instructors, trying to catch the perfect wave. The surf lessons come with a light breakfast as well as photography, so you can share the pictures of you catching a wave with your friends and family.

Will you be adding the water parks to your next vacation?
