With the announcement of the Park Hopper option returning to Walt Disney World on January 1, a new detail has been confirmed regarding the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance virtual queue. If you are visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios after visiting your first park you will NOT be able to join the virtual queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
This could have been assumed since you can't park hop until after 2 PM and the last virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance is at exactly 2 PM but it has been officially confirmed by Disney on their "Know Before You Go" page.
