At the Walt Disney Studios panel at the D23 Expo, Marvel Studios announced the release date for the sequel, Black Panther II. The movie will hit theaters May 6, 2022 and Ryan Coogler will return to direct the film. Coogler said that they're "taking their time to make it right" and joked with Kevin Feige about how it was too early to reveal the title of the film just yet
