This Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, Nick Hilton became the first American man to win Central Florida’s largest marathon since Matthew Dobson in 2004. Hilton crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 17 minutes, 52 seconds. The four previous Marathon titles were claimed by Fredison Costa, a Brazilian living in Kissimmee, but he did not finish the race after becoming nauseous and dizzy on the 26.2-mile course.
Brazilian Giovanna Martins, 35, won the women's title for the second year in a row and captured her record third Disney title in 2:47:22.
