Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom this holiday season will find festive new entertainment and holiday décor in every land of the park! On Discovery Island the magic of the holidays will come to life, with festive new experiences both day and night.
When you cross the bridge to Discovery Island you will find yourself in the middle of a winter celebration with hand-crafted decorations made by artists who make the island their home. The village will be filled with sparkling white holiday decorations and colorful, animal-inspired luminaries will line the rooftops, alongside wireframe lanterns in the shape of beautiful birds.
All of the winter animals will gather in the form of life-size, artisan-sculpted puppets on Discovery Island during the day. The reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins and more will interact with guests, accompanied by musicians as they create a festive atmosphere.
As it becomes nighttime, the rooftop luminaries and bird lanterns will bring a warm glow to the entire village. At the center of the park, the Tree of Life will awaken with a series of wintry tales, complemented by a familiar and heartwarming holiday-inspired musical score. Between awakening moments, the Tree of Life will shimmer and sparkle throughout the night.
