As was previously announced, the attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open on December 5, 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida and January 17, 2020 at Disneyland park in California.
The new attraction will make the lines between fantasy and reality unrecognizable as you are put you in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. The ride will begin when you depart from Batuu in a transport ship to Meet General Leia Organa as part of the Resistance. But something bad happens along the way and are captured by a First Order Star Destroyer. You must try to escape from Kylo Ren and the First Order but don't worry you may have some help from the heroes of the Resistance.
According to Disney the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be one of the "most ambitious, advanced and immersive experiences ever undertaken by Walt Disney Imagineering."
The attraction is also one of the largest Disney has ever made as is apparent in the massive building which houses two full-size AT-AT walkers and a Star Destroyer hangar bay with a TIE fighter and army of Stormtroopers!
