New CDC Mask Guidelines Could Be The Start of Changes to Disney's Mask Policy
Disney CEO Bob Chapek talked about the revised CDC guidelines for masks during the Disney earnings call this afternoon.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released new guidelines for fully vaccinated people including that vaccinated people "no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance."
During the earnings call, Chapek said the new guidance is "very big news for us, particularly if anybody's been in Florida in the middle of the summer with a mask on."
Disney has not formally changed their mandatory mask policy but the discussion today could hint to changes coming very soon!
