The joyous holiday season awaits you as you enter any of the Disney World Resorts.
At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa you immediately can smell the aromas of the gingerbread house in the hotel lobby. The 19 year tradition includes the grand masterpiece, which is created with 1,050 lbs. of honey, 700 lbs. of chocolate, 600 lbs. of confectioners’ sugar, 35 lbs. of spices, 800 lbs. of flour, 140 pints of egg whites, and 180 lbs. apricot glaze.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort showcases the 18' Cinderella Castle which is created in a Mary Blair-style set on an “it’s a small world” backdrop, and includes oversized gingerbread cookies showing Cinderella and Prince Charming greeting guests from the Castle. It can be found on the 4th floor beginning November 9.
At the Beach Club Resort, you can enjoy the 18th anniversary of the Holiday Carousel. This life-size, spinning carousel is completely edible.
Holiday decorations, treats, and music awaits you at every Disney World Resort, so don't forget to stop and smell the gingerbread.
