February Disney Dining Update

Well we're halfway through February and some big events are coming up at Walt Disney World Resort including the 10th Anniversary Disney Princess Half Marathon and the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. But first, let's focus on the new food offerings available throughout Walt Disney World.

Disney Springs:

  • Wine Bar George will be opening its doors this spring and they have now named their new Executive Chef - Ron Rupert. Rupert has been with the Walt Disney World Resort since 1988 and has been a part of the opening teams for other popular restaurants including Jiko and California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The wine bar will be located in The Landing directly across from The BOATHOUSE® and will be the only Master Sommelier-led wine bar in the state of Florida.

Magic Kingdom:

  • Friar’s Nook, in Fantasyland, is now offering Fried Twinkies, served with your choice of strawberry, chocolate, vanilla or caramel sauce.

  • In Frontierland, at Westward Ho, you can try the Happy Trails Mix with house-made marshmallows, pretzels, chocolate and mixed nuts.

  • The Golden Oak Outpost is serving up a couple new snacks, including BBQ Chicharrónes – pork cracklings with a BBQ seasoning – and Chili Cheese Waffle Fries with chili and white queso cheese sauce.

  • Tortuga Tavern has added a Short Rib Sandwich with Chipotle BBQ short rib and citrus slaw served with a side of chips

Hollywood Studios:

  • ABC Commissary is serving new dinner platters and adding a new drink to their menu! Each new platter includes steak fries and coleslaw and the platter choices include a Shrimp Platter, a Fish and Shrimp Platter, and a Fish, Shrimp and Chicken Platter. The new drink is the Happy Daze – with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, melon liqueur, banana liqueur, grenadine and orange and pineapple juice and it sounds delicious!

Animal Kingdom:

  • Restaurantasaurus has added a new item to their menu, the Battered Fish, which is served with French fries for lunch or dinner. A new drink of the menu is the Prehistoric Margarita with Jose Cuervo Tequila, Triple Sec and lime juice.

January Monthly Offerings:
