Disney Springs To Begin Phased Reopening on May 20
Here's some good news for all of you fellow Disney World fans... a phased reopening of Disney Springs will begin on May 20!
Disney Springs will be following the guidance of government and health officials, and will begin to open a limited number of shopping and dining experiences owned by third-party operated venues. Please remember that the rest of Walt Disney World Resort will remain closed, including all theme parks and resort hotels.
Disney continues to monitor the situation and will be making several operational changes, including increased cleaning procedures, the use of appropriate face coverings by both cast members and guests, limited-contact guest services and additional safety training for cast members.
Disney Springs will be taking ideas from leaders in the health and travel industries, and are also speaking with their unions to prepare for some cast members to return to work.
During this initial opening phase, Disney Springs will have limitations on capacity, parking and operating hours. Please remain patient and understand that everyone is navigating this unprecedented situation.
Additional protocols and procedures will be announced closer to the opening date of May 20!
It's great to see a light at the end of the tunnel and Disney start to take action with reopening our favorite place!
