The most delicious ice cream on Disney property could be found at Ample Hills Creamery at Disney's Boardwalk and we just learned the sad news that the shop will not be reopening and in fact, will not be operating any Disney World locations in the future.
Last August, Disney Springs announced that a second location was being constructed on the West Side portion of Disney Springs and was set to open in late 2020. As with the rest of Walt Disney World, the Ample Hills Creamery location at the Boardwalk closed late March.
Attractions Magazine reached out to Ample Hills and is now reporting that neither location will reopen.
“Prior to the acquisition, the Disney agreement with Ample Hills creamery ended (back in January),” the company spokesperson said. “As a result, Ample Hills will close at Disney’s BoardWalk and the proposed Ample Hills location at Disney Springs will not open later this year.”
