Overview
The Future of Technology & Ideas
​
Epcot opened in 1982 and focuses on the future technology and ideas that will be part of American industry. These focuses were established in one of the two themed areas, Future World. Future World focuses on land/environment, energy, communication/technology and the future.
The second area of Epcot is World Showcase which features 11 countries. At each "country" there are unique shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities. The World Showcase countries include:
