Golf Course Improvements Coming to Disney Golf This Summer

Along with all of the other new enhancements taking place around Walt Disney World Resort, the Disney golf courses are also getting upgraded. In 2015, Disney enhanced the bunkers at the Magnolia course and now they are planning similar enhancements for the Lake Buena Vista, Palm and Oak Trail courses. One of the enhancements will be adding Mickey-shaped bunkers to Lake Buena Vista and Oak Trail similar to the one on No. 6 on the Magnolia course.

Palm Course:

  • Will re-open June 18

  • Currently undergoing its regular aeration process

  • Re-imagined bunkers to be added

  • Improved drainage capabilities

Lake Buena Vista Course:

  • Redevelopment begins June 18 & will reopen by mid-August

  • Re-imagined Mickey-shaped bunkers to be added

  • Enhancement of all of the bunkers including adding new powdery white sand.

Oak Trail Course:

  • Redevelopment begins June 18 & will reopen by mid-August

  • Greens are being restored to their original size and totally resurfaced utilizing paspalum grass for the first time ever on a Disney putting green.

  • Re-imagined Mickey-shaped bunkers to be added

There will be special discounted rates at both courses. Regular rates at the Magnolia and Palm courses are available all summer, along with FootGolf, the hybrid soccer and golf game recently added to Oak Trail.
